FHS Band Boosters

The Forney High School Band Booster club exists to support the Forney High School Band program; the students and the Directors. Because your child is in band you ARE a member of the FHS Band Boosters. It takes the tireless support from our Booster Club Parents (that’s YOU) for the band to attain it’s highest potential. YOU are an essential part of their success!

Monthly Parent Meetings

Parent meetings are monthly meetings hosted by the Band Boosters and occur on the first Tuesday of each month, at 7pm. These are typically held in the Band Hall, but may be moved to an alternate location (including online) as circumstances require. Reminders and details for these meetings are posted on the Facebook page, sent out via email and will appear on the calendar.

Special Meetings

Special meetings typically occur as needed and dates and times are announced ahead of time. These meetings have unique agendas to discuss trips or events, or to welcome incoming Freshmen for the upcoming year. These meetings are in addition to the regular meetings and usually are single-purpose and may not include normal Band Booster updates.


How can you help?

The entire program takes a lot of parents and families being involved, and the easiest way to do that, is to Volunteer. Our Volunteers do everything from help keep track of our kids on trips, to working a few games in Concessions, to building props and carrying them on-field at games and contests all the way to serving on committees and the Booster Executive Board. We are all just volunteers working to make this the best program possible for all of our kids. Give us a hand… get involved! Here’s a few ways you can.

Volunteer Opportunities



We need parents to help set up our break station at Forney High School as well as a crew that stays with the band and helps with water.



Parents are needed for both football games and contests for loading/unloading the trailer at remote sites, unloading the trailer at the end of the day/night. Another group of parents are needed for each contest or game to move props (field crew). Percussion parents are needed to help transport percussion equipment, including on and off the field.



We make sure the band looks it’s best during marching and concert seasons. We need help fitting students as well as repairing items throughout the year. All marching uniform elastics are installed by this team, as well as hems in dresses and pants during concert season. Each uniform is pressed and/or steamed prior to the start of each season.



We take photos and videos of the band in all aspects of their year, the football games, events, shows, concerts and fundraisers. It takes a group of photographers to help us ensure we have captured memorable moments, so if you are handy with your camera and love taking photos or video, please let us know of your interest. We don’t assign dates or times slots until we meet and determine which events/games each can take.
